Benefits of Water Softeners

Hard water is water that contains minerals like calcium or magnesium in it. When it’s used in the shower, it can leave your hair feeling filmy. After washing dishes in the dishwasher, your glasses may look foggy from the minerals left behind. Water softening is the process of removing those minerals from hard water so that those problems also disappear. A water softener has polystyrene beads with sodium chloride ions. When the hard water passes over those beads, the mineral ions exchange with the sodium chloride ions. The amount of sodium is minuscule, so if you drink soft water or use it in cooking, it doesn’t have a salty taste. Read more about water softeners.

Hot Water Recirculation Pump Pricing

Grundfos Hot Water Recirculation Pump Pricing

Installed Price $689.00
Additional Comfort Valve $149.00

Why Would I Need an Additional Comfort Valve?

You may need an extra comfort valve depending on the layout of your home. Homes that are larger and have a more cut-up design may need an additional comfort valve. In our experience, the vast majority of homes will not need the additional comfort valve.

Benefits of a Hot Water Recirculation Pump

A hot water recirculation system provides a continuous flow of hot water in your hot water supply line. Thousands of gallons per year are wasted waiting for water to heat up in showers and faucets. Without a hot water recirculation pump, hot water cools in the line and must come out of the tap before you can use hot water. The recirculation pump makes it so you have instant hot water the moment you turn the tap.
