Technology	Notes
Catalytic Carbon	Excellent for chloramines, TTHMs, HAAs, PFAS, VOCs, some heavy metals (lead, copper). Does not remove nitrates, fluoride, arsenic, or most inorganic heavy metals on its own.
Reverse Osmosis	Removes 90-99% of most dissolved contaminants including heavy metals, nitrates, radium, fluoride, PFAS, and arsenic. Point-of-use (under sink) is most common.
Water Softener (Ion Exchange)	Removes hardness (Ca/Mg), heavy metals (lead, barium, chromium-6, arsenic), nitrate (anion resin), and radium. Does not remove organics or disinfection byproducts.
Water Conditioner (SP3)	Nucleation Assisted Crystallization (NAC) - transforms Ca/Mg hardness into harmless micro-crystals. Has absorption capacity for Iron, Copper, Manganese, Lead, Zinc at lower concentrations. Does not remove organics, nitrates, arsenic, fluoride, or PFAS. Salt-free, no regeneration.
Specialty Filtration	Custom or targeted filtration media for specific contaminants. We can modify or add-on to our base water systems to address contaminants not covered by activated carbon, normal resin, and baseline media.
UV Filter (Luminor)	Luminor whole-house UV-C disinfection (254nm, 40 mJ/cm2). Neutralizes 99.99%+ of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa (E. coli, Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Legionella, etc.) by disrupting their DNA. Does not remove any chemical contaminants - no effect on heavy metals, nitrates, PFAS, disinfection byproducts, arsenic, or fluoride. Requires pre-filtration (sediment, iron less than 0.3 ppm, manganese less than 0.05 ppm, turbidity less than 1 NTU).
