Luminor Glacier GUV-4S UV LED Disinfection for Reverse Osmosis Systems
The Luminor GUV-4S is a point-of-use UV LED disinfection unit that adds a final germicidal barrier to reverse-osmosis drinking water. It installs inline between your RO system and the drinking-water faucet, where a solid-state UV LED array inactivates waterborne bacteria, viruses, and protozoa as you draw water — with no chemicals, no change in taste, and no mercury lamp to warm up or replace each year.

About the Luminor Glacier GUV-4S UV LED Disinfection for Reverse Osmosis Systems
Reverse osmosis strips out dissolved solids and many contaminants, but on its own it isn't a disinfection step — and the RO storage tank and tubing downstream can harbor bacteria over months of use. The Luminor GUV-4S adds a final UV-C barrier exactly where it matters: on the line between your RO system and your drinking-water faucet. As you fill a glass, germicidal UV-C light inactivates bacteria, viruses, and protozoa in the stream, so the water reaching your tap is both filtered and disinfected. It's a solid-state UV-C LED — mercury-free, instant-on, with nothing to warm up and no glass lamp to break or replace each year.
How UV-C LED disinfection works
Water leaving your RO system passes through the GUV-4S chamber, where an array of UV-C LEDs irradiates it on the way to the faucet. Germicidal UV-C light scrambles the DNA of any bacteria, viruses, or protozoa in the stream so they can't reproduce or cause illness. Because the unit uses LEDs instead of a mercury lamp, it switches on instantly the moment you draw water — triggered by an integral flow switch — and draws no power the rest of the time.
RO does the filtering first
Your reverse-osmosis membrane removes dissolved solids, lead, and other contaminants. The GUV-4S installs downstream of the RO system, on the line feeding your dedicated drinking-water faucet.
UV-C LED dose on demand
When you open the faucet, the integral flow switch fires the UV-C LEDs. At typical RO faucet flow the water receives roughly a 30–40 mJ/cm2 germicidal dose — well above the ~10 mJ/cm2 that inactivates common waterborne bacteria and viruses.
Status monitoring, no annual lamp
A multi-state status LED reports operation and module life. There's no mercury lamp or quartz sleeve to replace each year — the LED module is rated for 5,000 hours of on-demand use and is swapped only when its life indicator calls for it.

Manufacturer Warranty
1-Year UV-C LED Module Warranty
Luminor backs the GUV-4S GLACIER UV-C LED module with a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. Because the system is solid-state and mercury-free, there is no annual lamp or quartz-sleeve replacement to budget for — just a long-life LED module the onboard controller monitors for you.
Reverse osmosis is the best way to clean up Arizona's high-TDS tap and well water, but the RO tank and the run of tubing between it and your faucet are a classic spot for bacteria to colonize over months of use. A point-of-use UV-C step closes that gap. We chose Luminor's LED platform over an old-style mercury UV lamp because it's mercury-free, instant-on (no waiting for a lamp to warm to full output), and maintenance-light — there's no annual lamp-and-sleeve swap, just a long-life LED module the controller monitors for you.
Most of the RO systems we install across Phoenix and Tucson sit under a kitchen sink and feed a dedicated drinking-water faucet — and many of our customers are on private wells or simply want extra peace of mind for infants, elderly family members, or anyone immune-compromised. RO water is naturally very clear (UV transmittance well above the 90% the GUV-4S wants), which makes it an ideal match for UV-C LED: the light passes through cleanly and delivers a high germicidal dose at the low flow rates a drinking-water faucet produces.
Homes that already have, or are adding, a reverse-osmosis drinking-water system
Private-well households that want a disinfection barrier on their drinking water
Families with infants, elderly, or immune-compromised members
Anyone wanting filtration and disinfection together at the kitchen drinking-water faucet
RO setups where the storage tank and tubing have been in service for years
People who prefer a mercury-free, low-maintenance UV option over a glass lamp
