Water Softener Installation Costs

Loop Installation:

$200 This is what a loop looks like.
Your home may have what’s called a loop, or a pre-plumbed connection for a water softener or whole house filtration system. The Loop is typically located next to the water heater. Pricing includes install for up to 1.25″ valve systems. For larger systems, please contact us for a customized quote.

Full Line Installation: (No Loop)

$800 – $3,500 There are a few factors that determine the actual cost of installing your water softener when a loop is not available. Please watch our installation video below to get a better understanding of the process. Or contact us to request a quote and speak to our experts.

Benefits of Water Softeners

Hard water is water that contains minerals like calcium or magnesium in it. When it’s used in the shower, it can leave your hair feeling filmy. After washing dishes in the dishwasher, your glasses may look foggy from the minerals left behind. Water softening is the process of removing those minerals from hard water so that those problems also disappear. A water softener has polystyrene beads with sodium chloride ions. When the hard water passes over those beads, the mineral ions exchange with the sodium chloride ions. The amount of sodium is minuscule, so if you drink soft water or use it in cooking, it doesn’t have a salty taste. Read more about water softeners.
